The Catalyst Project

Meet Eva at Hathaway Brown; an Equity and Action Capstone Student!

Eva’s capstone project, described by Eva;

Hi everyone! My name is Eva Kroh and I am a capstone student at hathaway

Brown High school! My capstone is focused on the systemic inequalities

within our very own shaker heights. In short, I am using 2020 census data

to understand why Shaker heights has such a prominent wealth divide, why

thats relevant, and how we can create a more equitable community. I think

this project is so important to our city with such a rich history. To me, we only move forward with

creating better spaces when we understand how problematic and harmful structures came to be in

the first palce. This is how we learn to dismantle divides within our community. I am excited to get

to work with such an great group of people!
